Community Care Fund
In 2011, Magdalene Catholic High School established a Community Care Fund to support families who are in serious need. Later in 2012, St Clare’s also joined the venture. The purpose of the Fund is to assist families in either of the school communities who need financial assistance due to ongoing illness or have experienced a critical incident.
Each principal, under the guidance of a community representative committee, will manage the allocation of funds. The principal will have responsibility for ensuring that families in most need receive support from the fund. This means that not all requests for assistance will be met, as the amount of funding available is limited.
Requests for support can be made for families by following the link found on the school’s websites or by contacting the Principals of the schools. The committee will meet twice a year to approve allocated funding.
